Happy, very happy to write this blog post. One more year, we follow our fight against women's cancer and today, International Breast Cancer Day, we present the 5th edition of the solidarity handkerchief. A project that was born five years ago by Judit Mascó, the artist Clàudia Valsells and Vall d’Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus.
The project aims to raise funds to find the cure of those types of cancer that mainly affect women and improve the quality of life of those who suffer from it.
Thanks to all those who have collaborated during these five years. Thanks to those who are going to do them this year.

Breast cancer
(With more than 32,000 cases a year, 28% of the diagnosed cancers)
the body cancers of uterus, ovary and cervix
(10.5% of the diagnosed cancers)
We want this handkerchief to be more than a complement, we want it to be the symbol of the struggle of women suffering from cancer and all people who want to solidarity with them.
The handkerchief in this new edition continues to maintain its XXL format but varies of design and colors. A more timeless and unisex piece.
The project is 5 years old and we want to review some of the most relevant data:
- More than 210,000 euros collected
- 2 Financed Research Scholarships: A scholarship dedicated to the investigation of cancers that mainly affect women and another aimed at creating support and emotional management groups to accompany patients.
