On November 28, the Giving Tuesday, a world day dedicated to giving and collaborating with social causes.
In Natura We have decided to join the cause and adapt it to our philosophy and values. The Giving Day is born from the conviction that any day is good to help others and offer the best of us.
Thanks to this initiative, each worker of Natura You will receive an extra holiday per year to be able to dedicate it to volunteer.
The first to enjoy its spare hours was Alex, from the communication team, who dedicated last Friday to collaborate with the protector of Animal Animalscapat, from Barcelona.
Pelescapat (hair-escama-pata) is a non-profit association that ensures the well-being of those who have no voice, all kinds of animals: from the smallest fish to the largest dog. A group of people wanting to change things and get a better world where we can all live together.
From the association they are dedicated to being careful and helping homeless animals, to get them out of the street, promote their reception, finance maintenance expenses and finally give them an opportunity to be well cared for and be happy through adoption.
Alex intervened in this process, going to Neus's house, in Poblenou, a reception home for Elur and his two puppies, to help her with the adoption procedures of the dog, which usually lead to paperwork and the need for a computer.

Fortunately, many of the cases of host coordinated by Pelescapat usually end up for adoption. However, any help is little. In 2016, more than 137,000 cats and dogs were abandoned in Spain.
The Association ensures to avoid abuse, abandonments, unwanted pregnancies and possible diseases. Currently, he is looking for an adoptive family for the two puppies of Elur.

These types of organizations call each year to request the help of partners and volunteers, who collaborate not only with their economic or material contribution but also with part of their free time to dedicate to animals.
