Summer is festivals, today we want to emphasize one with a legendary tradition and where color predominates before everything else. It is the Holione, a festival that takes place in several parts of the world and commemorates an Indian tradition. Holi, is together with "Diwali" (marked by the lights and fireworks, although much more religious tone), one of the most relevant holidays of the Hindu calendar that is characterized by its festive atmosphere. This festival puts aside class, caste or origin differences (all the world is transformed into colors) and becomes a cheerful and casual celebration.
Holi, who worships the god Vishnú and one of his avatars, Krishna, is celebrated every year on a different day according to the full moon of the month of March. With the passage of time the religious connotation has remained in the background because of the desire that people have to celebrate it in the street.
Gangs, water balloons, cubes and colored dust, the Indians of all ages face in a "colored war" until a color layer barely allows them to recognize them. It is impossible to flee from the most colorful celebration of the year and not join a spontaneous party in the street.
Very soon Barcelona will arrive the first edition, although on April 6 there was a small drill in the Horta - Guinardó neighborhood. We will follow the track and inform you when "The Fiesta de los Color" will take place
