When we talk about Christmas, we don't just mean gifts, shopping and celebrations. It is a time of generosity, reflection and togetherness. A time of year that invites us to be more supportive, grateful and aware of how lucky we are.
We are thrilled to announce that, for another year, Natura is collaborating with the Enriqueta Villavecchia Children's Oncology Foundation in the fight against childhood cancer with a charity market of second-hand clothing and accessories. From December 9 to 18, in our Natura store on Pelayo Street in Barcelona, you can find products donated by different brands and influencers with a common goal: to raise funds for research at San Joan de Déu.
This project was born in 2017 when Blanca was diagnosed with a Rhabdoid tumor at 17 months old, a type of brain cancer that put her life at high risk and whose treatment would have serious consequences (if she managed to overcome it). A friend of Ana Manent (Blanca's grandmother) encouraged a group of friends to collect clothes and organize a flea market in a shop in Barcelona.
For the past five years, this market has been held on the -1 floor of Natura Pelayo. Thanks to donations from different brands and influencers, such as Blanca Miró, Patricia Sañes and Vanesa Lorenzo, the project has raised more than 433,000 euros in all the editions held.
It should be noted that, since 2021, the solidarity has been divided into two donations: 50% of the funds raised are allocated to research into childhood cancer at the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital and the other 50% to emotional support programs and activities for children and adolescents who have overcome cancer at the Enriqueta Villacecchia Foundation.
The charity market is dedicated to the brave people who never stop fighting. It is our way of contributing to this battle. We hope to see you at Natura Pelayo and that you can be part of this fight. Together we can make a difference. We look forward to seeing you from 9 to 18 December from 10.30am to 8.30pm!
