In our second edition of people Natura We have a trio of artists with a very special project. Are The Brother, a circus company that promotes a show for the whole family where juggling, humor and monocycles are the tools of artists to get into the public in their pocket. And not only that, they also create workshops so that the little ones (and not so small) learn the love for the trade of the circus. We talk to one of them, skate.
How did the idea occur to you?
It arose from the need to create a show made by and for us. The idea was to place two "Casposillos" artists and a little fashionable past that hired an assistant. This, finally, ended up becoming more and more protagonist. He went from being assistant to leader, all always with a lot of humor.
What places have you taken your show and where would you love to take it?
We have acted for almost the entire Iberian Peninsula, in a lot of diverse festivals and parties. Of course, we would love to act someday in southern Spain, it is a geographical area that resists us and it would not make it very excited to visit.
Do you think the circus is a very unknown concept in our country?
Historically it has been, but it is getting better known and valued by the general public, especially, thanks to the festivals we have in our country that allow us to show our work and that of other companies. I believe that the circus culture is gradually begins to have the recognition it deserves, although a lot of work is missing.
How has people welcomed your project?
In general, with a big smile at the end of the show. Our work is hard, but we must recognize that not everyone when your working day ends and applaud him. That helps us to continue more and more desire.
How do you see your future, what projects do you have in mind?
This year we have released a somewhat special circus workshop. We place the juggling elements on structures made with old junk, which we find in the attic of our grandparents, and create new tricks and effects. We love to innovate.
