An essential oil is a natural aromatic compound that generates characteristic aromas of nature, such as flowers, fruits, leaves, etc. Essential oils can come from plants or citrus fruits.
There are only two methods to extract an essential oil: steam distillation (in the case of plants) or cold pressing (in the case of citrus fruits).
The method used is very important as it influences the quality and therapeutic value of the resulting oil. Any chosen method is very labor-intensive since the proportion of oil in the plant or the citrus peel is minimal.
We never recommend direct application on the skin or ingestion.
